Description
On February 9, 1964, at The Baltimore Museum of Art, Robert Motherwell- internationally famous painter, printmaker, editor, and major figure of the Abstract Expressionist generation, presented a lecture, "A Painter's World" as part of the Sunday Series at The Baltimore Museum of Art. The original reel to reel recording of the lecture is badly damaged. The introduction (0:18-0:47) and some other sections are hard to hear. Motherwell's lecture offers a glimpse into his particular painting techniques as well as his philosophy and opinions on painting and the art atmosphere during the early 1960s.
