Description
The Baltimore Museum of Art was invited to take charge of the American representation in the 30th Venice Biennale. Four artists, three painters and one sculptor were selected to represent the Unites States in the Biennale. The selections were made from the New York School of artists and included Hans Hofmann, Philip Guston, Franz Kline, and Theodore Roszak. According to an article in the Baltimore Sun, Adelyn Breeskin had to "arrange and be hostess at a reception which was attended by the diplomatic representatives of all nations on June 17, 1960." The film is black and white and does not have sound. The film appears to be of a social gathering, perhaps the reception that Breeskin organized.
